Description

Cox’s Bay is a shallow coastal bay with easy access. Many birds feeding on crabs and small fish in the shallow water at mid tide. See a link to the tide table below. Birds you can observe include Sacred Kingfisher, Variable Oystercatcher, White-faced Heron, Pied Stilt, Little Black Cormorant, Little Pied Cormorant, Pied Cormorant and Royal Spoonbill.

Cox’s Bay is located in Auckland between the suburbs of Westmere and Herne Bay. Easy access with parking right beside both sides of road. Press P on the map for directions.
