Description
The Kippenkade, literally translated "Chicken Quay", is a small and narrow track through a typical Dutch polder landscape and adjacent to the 's Gravenkoop lake, which is part of the larger Reeuwijkse Plassen area. The track is used by local residents to get to their holiday residences, although this isn't frequent. The track is surrounded by trees, small reedbeds and waterways.
The reedbeds provide a great oppurtinity to find свиларче, Синогушка and мал трскар, besides more common species like Мочварна овесарка and трскар рогозар. The scattered trees and bushes are great for жолто гушанче, Lesser Whitethroat and обично грмушарче. The gardens of the present residences are good for small flocks of полско врапче.
The surrounding polders are great for large flocks of geese in the winter months. Large numbers of Barnacle Goose are present here and sometimes rare species like црвенограда гуска and Ross's Goose can be spotted within these flocks. During the breeding season, the polders are great for typical waders like црвенонога тринга, црноопашна блатарка and бојник. Large flocks of Жолта тресиопашка can be present too. Foraging црвена чапја can be seen next to the ditches. The track itself is a good spot for grass snakes.
The 's Gravenkoop lake is a great spot for црна рибарка. They tend to hang around here just before flying to their breeding area in the polders. Large numbers can be seen foraging above the lake. Sometimes, species like белокрила рибарка and мал галеб can be spotted too.

Access
The area is easy accessable on foot. Parking is a bit tricky, so try to park your car as best as possible so it doesn't block any access roads. The area can also be very muddy.
