New nature and recreation area between Zoetermeer and Boskoop. Both in summer and in winter many nice bird species to see.
The Bentwoud is a new nature and recreation area between Zoetermeer and Boskoop and is now the largest contiguous forest area in the Randstad (the central city area in The Netherlands) with more than 800 hectares. Although the Bentwoud is still in full development, there are already many special birds, butterflies and plants to be found. Due to the many changes of habitat you can see many species of birds here, for example голем воден бик, Синогушка, блатна еја, јастреб кокошкар, Обична (Црнонокна) ветрушка and глувчар.

Nederlands: Het Bentwoud is een nieuw natuur- en recreatiegebied tussen Zoetermeer en Boskoop en is met ruim 800 hectare het grootste aaneengesloten bosgebied van de Randstad. Hoewel het Bentwoud nog volop in ontwikkeling is, zijn er al veel bijzondere vogels, vlinders en planten te vinden. Door de vele wisselingen van leefgebied zie je hier veel soorten vogels. Zowel in de zomer als in de winter veel leuke vogelsoorten te zien zoals голем воден бик, Синогушка, блатна еја, јастреб кокошкар, Обична (Црнонокна) ветрушка enглувчар.

Nederlands: Gemakkelijk bereikbaar vanuit Zoetermeer. Er zijn meerdere ingangen, zowel als met de auto als met de fiets vrij toegankelijk. Ingang Noord vaak de Синогушка. Ingang West vaak de голем воден бик. In het hele gebied kans op de блатна еја. Er zijn diverse gemarkeerde wandelroutes in het gebied. Op de kaart staat 5 km lange route 'Laarzenpad' afgebeeld.
