From the harbour and the pier of Ameland you have a good view of the many tidal parts of the Wadden Sea. A perfect place for resting waders. The birds forage and rest on the tidal flats. Many Bar-tailed Godwit, црвенонога тринга and остригар can be found here. There are also many different types of gulls to see, such as мал црногрб галеб and Голем морски галеб, Сребренест галеб, езерски галеб and terns. Also keep an eye out for четириока патка and Common Guillemot.
