Nice birding walk up Monte Reixa. The path first passes through dense forest and then opens into large grassy or rocky clearings.
Monte Reixa is a mountain in the protected area of Parco naturale regionale del Beigua and part of the Ligurian Appennines. The diversity of environments that are found during this walk allows you to observe various species of birds, from small passerines such as цуцулеста сипка and црноглаво муварче in places rich in vegetation to жолтоного блатарче, полска трепетилка and raptors in the grassy areas or on the rocky peaks. Especially recommended during migration periods where it is possible to observe, with a bit of luck, орел змијар , осојад , степска ветрушка , мал орел, сив жерав and occasionally even белоглав мршојадец.
The path leads you to pass through the dense forest and then open into large grassy or rocky clearings. Note: It is strongly recommended to always follow the path.
The quickest access route is from the Faiallo pass (where there is also a car park, a picnic area and a restaurant), with a short walk. It is possible to insert the summit of Reixa in longer, circular itineraries, starting from different locations in the municipality of Genoa (for example Sambuco, Fabbriche or Crevari) and also covering sections of the Alta Via.
Since the area is often frequented by species in transit during the migration, it is strongly recommended to follow the paths. If you bring your 4-legged friend with you, it is recommended to keep it on a leash.
