Isola di Ventotene is part of the Pontine Islands archipelago, located off the west coast of Italy in the Lazio region, between Rome and Naples. You can reach Ventotene Island by taking a ferry from the port of Formia. The journey takes about 90 minutes and is the most convenient option. There are also connections to the island from the port of Naples (Beverello).

There is a ringing station on the island, which is inaccessible to the public.
