Sorkhroud is a seasonal wetland in the Mazandaran Province of Iran, primarily composed of flooded rice paddies and shallow water bodies. The habitat is defined by its proximity to the Caspian Sea and its transformation during the winter months when water levels rise to create a suitable environment for migratory waterfowl. Sorkhroud Pond is located in one of the neighborhoods of Sorkhroud city and is accessible by private car or taxi. You can find parking spots in the neighborhood, but keep in mind that it can be very crowded on the weekends.
