Description

Örfirisey is a reliable spot to observe the birdlife of the Reykjavík bay. Especially in the colder times of the year. Bringing your telescope, a scan of the bay and horizon might produce birds like долгоопашеста патка, морски корморан, Northern Gannet, Little Auk, Harlequin Duck and среден северен нуркач. You might also see мал морски нуркач and голем морски нуркач. Örfirsey has also hosted a male White-winged Scoter every winter since 2014, proving it as a reliable spot for this vagrant. Overhead, Snow Bunting might pass, and along the rocks there might be Black Guillemot.
