Description
Mt Hymettus is a great birding place, very close to the city center of Athens with several species to enjoy such as Rüppell's Warbler, шпанско камењарче, Еребица, Лисест (Белоопашест) глувчар and црвеногушесто муварче . Different habitats (scattered forest, olive groves, makia vegetation, rocky slopes) provide excellent habitat for a variety of birds, basically passerines.

Access
Walk around Kesariani Monastery to see црвеногушесто муварче in fall, also breeding Шумски (Обичен) був, црногрла стрнарка, мало црноглаво грмушарче, црвеноглаво кралче, дологоопашеста сипка and ќук. Drive up the summit in spring and explore the surrounding paths for Rüppell's Warbler, Црвеногушо коприварче, шпанско камењарче, модар дрозд, лазач грнчар and Лисест (Белоопашест) глувчар.
