Description
The lagoon is the 'waterlily lake' mentioned by Gerald Durrell in My Family and Other Animals. However it appeared lifeless on my September visit. The island has 3 beaches, accessible by car, and good scrub and heath habitat favoured by warblers, голема стрнарка, ќук and грлица. A pair of златен орел were hunting over the wooded hills on return journey to Roda. Other birds you can enconter are Пештерска (Црвенкаста) ластовица, голема пиштарка, карпеста ластовичка, Црвеногушо коприварче, мало црноглаво грмушарче and Оревасто коприварче.
