Description
The Tevenerheide is a nice walking and birding area, located next to Nato airport Geilenkirchen. The Tevenerheide is characterized by alternation between vegetation and landscapes: moist or dry, dense forest or open field. Very good place to view the шумска чучулига quite close. Parking is available at several points. Click on a P in the map to get directions to that point. There are 4 marked walking trails. "Moor route" (black) - 5,8 km, start: car park Grotenrath. "Heathland route" (purple) - 6 km, start: car park Scherpenseel. "Lakes route" (blue) - 7,1, km, start: car park Hohenbusch. "Big nature trail" (yellow) - 9,4 km, start: car parks Hohenbusch/Grotenrath/Scherpenseel. On the map below you see a 10 km circular walking trail.
