Description
Since the renaturation was completed in 2002, the Seeanger has developed into an important area, especially during migration mainly for waders and ducks. A five hectar pond is surrounded by wet meadows, reeds and a few scattered bushes making this a diverse site attractive to a wide selection of species. Spring migration is best with патка свиркач, патка лажичарка, патка ластовичарка, патка берија, патка крецка and сива патка all occurring regularly in March and April. 32 wader species have been observed here with бојник, црна тринга, шарена тринга, шумска тринга and обична бекасина being regular migrants. However numbers of birds are dependant upon water levels.
The Seeanger is used as a breeding site by species like калуѓерка, сива патка (not every year), барска кокошка, Синогушка or штурче трскарче. In winter, the area is usually quiet with only few birds around though мустаклеста сипка turned up regularly in the last few years.
