Neustadtgödens was created by the extraction of sand for the construction of the motorway between 1977 and 1982. In 1985 it was designated as a nature reserve. Access
The area canbe viewed from the observation platform that has been recently reconstructed. There is no parking space at the observation platform as the street is very narrow. You can park your car at the entrance to the water mill.
