Description
The Salmenwiesen meadows are easily accessible and offer a good mix of birds all year round, especially at times when there is water on the meadows and in the ditches. When the meadows are flooded, a good number of birds use the meadows as a place to feed and rest. дива гуска, Canada Goose, сива чапја, зеленонога блатна кокошка, Дива патка and Црна врана are nearly always present. During spring and summer there is a good chance of observing обично грмушарче, обично страче and селска ластовичка. Birds of prey can also frequently be observed soaring over the meadows.
In winter, ливадска трепетилка and бела тресиопашка are usually present and can be heard and seen foraging on the meadows and in the reeds.

Access
The Salmenwiesen are located 5 km south of the city of Karlsruhe. The site is best accessed on foot or by bike. There are a number of parking spaces nearby. Click on the P in the map for directions to a parking spot. The circular route indicated on the map is about 1,5 km.
