Description

The Leipheimer Moos is a beautiful moorland with wide areas for блатна еја as well as the rare крекс, Жолта тресиопашка, полски трскар and migratory ливадска трепетилка. In the reed areas north of the border ditch Синогушка likes to sing, in the cattle pastures планинско ливадарче and along the boardwalk circuit (the boardwalk itself is unfortunately closed) вртивратка, славејче, обична бекасина, калуѓерка, обично грмушарче, кукавица, Фазан and црн клукајдрвец can be heard or seen.

Also worth a visit in autumn/winter when there are Полска еја, големо страче, блатен був, белочелна гуска and сив жерав.

Access

The Leipheimer Moos is located in north of the town of Günzburg. The area is perfect to explore by bike and on foot. You can park your car south of the area at the Herdweg parking area in Leipheim. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking. The Herdweg area provides convenient access to the moor and its hiking trails.
