Description

The Katinger Forest is a mixed forest, quite unusual for the area. This allows for the observation of species that are rarely found in the rest of Nordfriesland. One example is the саријазма. There are also artificial nesting holes of the рибарче, which can be observed from an observation point.

Access

The Katinger Wald is located near Tönning and the Katinger Watt. The forest can only be accessed by bike or on foot. However, there is a parking lot at the edge of the forest. Press P on the map for directions.
