Description
The Horbachpark was created as part of the state garden show of 1988. The little Horbach stream flows through the park and into a lake. There are many paths and benches throughout the park. The lake and the surrounding grass and reed fringes are home to црвеноклун лебед, Дива патка, црна лиска and зеленонога блатна кокошка. Around the edges of the park and beyond, there is an attractive mix of gardens and allotments. These host a good variety of Tits, Finches and Woodpeckers, including мала црноглава сипка, дологоопашеста сипка, дебелоклун црешар, елова зелентарка and зелен клукајдрвец.
In the woods adjacent to the park, it is possible to observe елова сипка, цуцулеста сипка and жолтоглаво кралче. Raptors like глувчар, црвена луња and јастреб кокошкар can often be seen soaring over the woods and slopes above the town. If you're in Ettlingen the park is well worth a visit. It's also a great place to combine family time at the playground with a bit of birding.
