Description
The Eibsee is a picturesque mountain lake below the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain. цуцулест нуркач and голем северен нуркач occur on the lake itself, but the surrounding coniferous forests are much more interesting. Access
On the east side of the lake there is a large parking lot and a Zugspitzbahn stop, which can be reached from Garmisch-Partenkirchen in half an hour. There are also bus services on route 9840. From the car park you can explore the area on foot or by bike, although some paths are not accessible by bike. Due to the high number of visitors, you should arrive early in the morning and not stay on the lakeside path, but a little away from it. The northern route indicated on the map is good for spotting woodpeckers and other forest birds.
