Mouth of the Var River, a Natura 2000 site. A walking path follows the river to the Cap 3000 shopping center. 260 bird species listed.
Embouchure du Var is the mouth of the river Var in Saint-Laurent-du-Var and a hotspot in the Alpes Maritimes for wetland birds. A walking path runs along the river and the reed beds are very suitable for observations as are the islets during the reproduction of terns. Among the birds you can observe are касписка рибарка, тенкоклуна чигра, белокрила рибарка, сива чапја, Обична (Црнонокна) ветрушка, сина ветрушка, рибарче, голем корморан and жолтоног галеб.

To get there, take the A8, exit 49 St Laurent du Var then park in the south car park of the Cap 3000 shopping center. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the parking walk towards the beach.
