Wooded area on a mountain pass which is one of the best places for seeing Corsican Nuthatch and Corsican Finch.
The Sorba pass is located in a special protection area. It is a coniferous forest composed mainly of laricio pines. Many trees are topped by the wind. Good place for Corsican Nuthatch and Corsican Finch. But you can also see birds like вртивратка, златен орел, црвена луња, гавран, Moltoni's Warbler, Marmora's Warbler, сиво муварче, Крстоклун and црногрла стрнарка.
The Sorba Pass is crossed by the D69 departmental road that connects Gatti-di-Vivario to Ghisoni, the two nearest villages. It is the first of the three mountain passes to cross (Sorba, Verde, Vaccia) to reach Sartène from Corte. On either side of the pass, this road has several "hairpin" bends.
