Description
During migration and winter the water bodies can host lots of ducks if they have not been flushed by fishermen or hunters, among which several dozens of црвеноглав кожувар and цуцулест кожувар and several hundreds of црна лиска . A rarity such as the белокрила црнка or морски кожувар is always possible in winter. Still in winter but above all during October-November and March the wet grassland is a very good spot for обична бекасина and мала бекасина.
In summer typical breeders include речна чигра and цуцулест нуркач on the lake, обично страче in the bushes or ливадска трепетилка in the grassland.
In late summer and early autumn when water level drops the south-western water body can be very good for waders particularly шумска тринга or for a црн штрк stopover. In spring when water level is higher, црна рибарка , белобрада рибарка or мал галеб are regularly seen foraging over water.
