Renowned bird observation tower of 15 meters high where each year a number of rare birds are observed.
Siipyy lintutorni (or Sideby fågeltorn) is a 15 meters high bird observation tower on the Gulf of Bothnia near the town of Sideby. On the east side of the tower is a forest, on the west side is the Gulf of Bothnia. You can of course see forest birds, but the tower is especially good for sea birds and migratory birds. Every year several rare bird species are observed from the tower. Bird that are seen more regularly include жолтоклун лебед, голем северен нуркач, среден северен нуркач, белокрила црнка Common Scoter, долгоопашеста патка, црвеноврат нуркач, арктички поморник, Black Guillemot, Razorbill, мал морски нуркач, белец, касписка рибарка, Arctic Tern and белоопашест орел.
Siipyy lintutorni is located 3 km southwest of the town of Sideby. Adjacent to the tower there is a barbecue area and a parking. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking.
