Crocodile Island is located in the river Nile. The reedbeds and wetlands line the shore on both sides of the bridge to the mainland. Look for мала бела чапја, чапја говедарка, црвена чапја, Purple Swamphen, сокол ластовичар, степска ветрушка, блатна еја, Pied Kingfisher, орел рибар, Black-winged Kite, wintering dabbling ducks and waders.

Access
Luxor is a popular tourist destination with its own airport. Trains from Cairo take about 10 hours. Crocodile Island is located in the river Nile just south of Luxor. From the city centre there are plentiful buses and taxis.
