Description
Nyord is a small island and besides the farmland, the island consists of 400 hectares of beach meadows. In winter these are flooded with seawater. These meadows are known as one of the best habitats for wading and swimming birds in Denmark. In spring, many birds breed here. From the tower you can observe waders here such as зеленонога тринга, сабјарка, калуѓерка, црвенонога тринга. There is also a chance of seeing белоопашест орел, орел рибар, сив сокол or ливадска еја. You can take a walk to the village past the Hyldevang Nature Center and see birds along the way such as полско врапче, конопјарче, Жолта тресиопашка en планинско ливадарче. In the small harbour you can see речна чигра hunting for fish and maybe find a морски корморан.
