Description

Lokrum Island (Otok Lokrum) is hilly, has rocky shores, and is largely covered in forest. This Adriatic forest is the reason the island has been designated a nature reserve. Alongside its natural beauty, the island also boasts the ruins of a medieval Benedictine abbey. However, the greatest tourist draw is requisites related to the TV series "Game of Thrones."

However, the large number of paths allows you to avoid the crowds interested in watching movies. Simply move away from the main path.

Indian Peafowl (Pavo cristatus), often referred to as Peacock, dominate the island, roaming freely among the trees in large numbers. However, in more secluded spots, you can spot other interesting species that are local or resting during migration. A list of the birds is at the bottom of the description.
