Description

Paraíso de las Aves or Bird Paradise Lodge is specialized in bird watching in the heart of Colombia. The lodge has a large area of ​​forest that is preserved through sustainable practices. So far more than 150 species have been recorded. It is a new place, little explored, with many species to discover. It offers comfortable accommodation with traditional food and internet access. With specialized photography sites just a few meters away, you can enjoy the birds on nature trails with waterfalls, mountains and rivers.

Birds you can observe include: Colombian Chachalaca, Crested Bobwhite, Lesser Nighthawk, Olivaceous Piculet, Straight-billed Woodcreeper, Rufous-browed Peppershrike, Crimson-backed Tanager, Scrub Tanager, Blue-necked Tanager, Bay-headed Tanager, Grey-necked Wood-Rail, Little Tinamou, Laughing Falcon, Crested Caracara, Blue-headed Parrot, Ringed Kingfisher, White-bearded Manakin, Vermilion Flycatcher, Grey-headed Tanager and Black-faced Dacnis.

Access

Paraíso de las Aves is located an hour's drive from the city of Ibagué (35 km), in the department of Tolima, at an altitude of 900 meters, with vehicle access. From Bogotá, you can get there by road or by taking a Bogotá-Ibagué flight. Shuttle service is available if you book in advance.
