Description
The village of Zammelen is located on the edge of the Haspengouw plateau and in the valley of the winding stream Mombeek. A combination of water, lime and sand in the soil creates a nature reserve with alternating meadows, hay fields, marsh and patches of wet forests. These different landscapes attract many birds. Birds you can observe in the area include голема бела чапја, кукавица, саријазма, цуцулеста сипка, штрк, Полска еја and полска чучулига.
