The Engeland Plateau is an area of interest because you can see many species of forest or semi-forest birds; such as the зимовка, дебелоклун црешар, обична ѕвингалка, северна ѕвингалка (in winter), елова зелентарка (in winter too), , Обичен (Шумски) лазач, жолтоглаво кралче and црвеноглаво кралче, лисест дрозд, дрозд пејач, имелов дрозд ; some woodpecker species such as голем клукајдрвец, зелен клукајдрвец or среден клукајдрвец; and all the tit species present in Brussels (!): сина сипка, цуцулеста сипка, Голема сипка, дологоопашеста сипка, елова сипка and мала црноглава сипка.

Access
You can reach the site by bus with line 37 or 43. Bus stop Marentak, Pasteur, Verrewinkel. Often enough parking spaces nearby. Click on the P on the map for directions. The 2 main entrances are on Avenue Dolez and Chemin du Puits.

The глувчар is seen very frequently, as well as the зелен клукајдрвец, the голем клукајдрвец, the мала црноглава сипка and the имелов дрозд (less easy to see this one). In winter the елова зелентарка is very present on the set and we know to see them often, while the северна ѕвингалка is more discreet but is still present. In summer we can see the обичен свиркач; occasionally the брезов свиркач, and the црноглаво грмушарче is heard.
When it comes to birds of prey, the most common are: the глувчар and the јастреб врапчар, while the Обична (Црнонокна) ветрушка can be seen less frequently (the јастреб кокошкар is quite rare but in flight with luck we can see it). Note that in summer it is possible to see the осојад passing overhead.
Near the western entrance is a small pond where you can see the Дива патка, the зеленонога блатна кокошка, the сива чапја and even the рибарче!

Français: La глувчар s'observe très fréquemment, ainsi que le зелен клукајдрвец, le голем клукајдрвец la мала црноглава сипка et la имелов дрозд (moins facile a voir celle là). En hiver le елова зелентарка est bien présent sur le plateau et on sait en voir souvent, tandis que le северна ѕвингалка se fait plus discret mais est quand même présent. En été on sait voir le обичен свиркач; occasionellement le брезов свиркач, et la црноглаво грмушарче se fait entendre.
Quand au rapaces, les plus fréquents sont: la глувчар et l' јастреб врапчар , tandis que on peut voir moins fréquement le Обична (Црнонокна) ветрушка ( l' јастреб кокошкар est assez rare mais en vol avec de la chance on sait le voir). A noter que en été c'est possible de voir passer au dessus de soi la осојад.
Près de l'entrée ouest un petite mare dans un creux est visible, ou l'on peut voir le Дива патка, la зеленонога блатна кокошка, le сива чапја et même le рибарче !
