Description

The Heurnemeersen consists of a complex of an old Scheldt meander, open grasslands, reed fields with species such as цуцулест кожувар, Мочварна овесарка, трскар рогозар, Синогушка and блатна еја. In the spring, when there is sufficient water on the lakes, you can see wading birds such as калуѓерка, бојник, обичен свиркач and црноопашна блатарка during the migration period.

Nederlands: De Heurnemeersen is de naam van een samengesteld gebied, de Snippenweide en het Dal. Het is een complex van een oude Scheldemeander, open grasvlaktes, rietvelden met soorten zoals цуцулест кожувар, Мочварна овесарка, трскар рогозар, Синогушка en блатна еја. In het voorjaar als er voldoende water staat op de plassen kan je steltlopers zien zoals калуѓерка, бојник, обичен свиркач en црноопашна блатарка tijdens de trekperiode.

Access

The Heurnemeersen is located slightly north of the town of Oudenaarde. The area is limited accessible but can be viewed from the towpath along the river Scheldt.

Nederlands: De Heurnemeersen ligt iets ten noorden van Oudenaarde. Het gebied is beperkt toegankelijk maar goed bekijkbaar vanaf het jaagdpad langs de Schelde.
