Ululah Lagoon is a key feature of ANZAC Park. Abundant with wildlife, the lagoon was an important freshwater source for the local Aboriginal people.
The Maryborough pioneers in the 19th century used the lagoon for fresh water, building a jetty into the lagoon waters and a weir that is now Lions Drive.
The bird life around Ululah Lagoon is plentiful. Ducks and geese waddle near the waters edge, along with other birds such as cockatoos and water hens. A concrete path runs around the lagoon and the golf course on the other side for cycling or walking. Egrets nest above the path so watch out for them.
