Description

Crusoe Reservoir and No. 7 Park encompasses 210-hectares surrounded by the Greater Bendigo National Park. You can walk around the reservoir and observe many birds on the water, along the banks and in the trees and bushes. Among the birds you can spot are Maned Duck, Australian Owlet-nightjar, Yellow-tufted Honeyeater, Crimson Rosella, Spotted Pardalote, Striated Pardalote, Horsfield's Bronze-Cuckoo, Fan-tailed Cuckoo, Laughing Kookaburra, Flame Robin and Painted Buttonquail.

Crusoe Reservoir is on the outskirts of Kangaroo Flat, an outer suburb of Bendigo. Directions from the Calder Highway, Kangaroo Flat: Facing Melbourne, turn right into Crusoe Road off the Calder Highway between Centro Lansell Plaza and Kangaroo Flat McDonalds. Follow this around to the reservoir. Click on the P in the map for directions or coordinates to the good sized parking lot. Free Entry - Crusoe Reservoir opens 24 hours, 7 days a week for pedestrian and bike access. There is a toilet.
