On the way from Dakhla to Bir Anzarane you will pass this not often visited point. At least in 2018 there was a well here, with a little vegetation.
We disovered this place (in 2018)en route to Bir-Anzarane, when seemingly in the middle of nowhere two Spotted Sandgrouse fell in behind a hill on the left side of the road. Invesigation learned that there was a water pump there with large rubber bladders of water. Water was leaking from the hoses, and there was sparse green vegetation. During our brief visit we observed Allodola di Temminck, Pispola golarossa and Monachella testagrigia as well as Corvo collobruno. I have no idea how permanent this installation was, but it might be worth checking! I suspect that if you spent more time here all the usual desert species will stop by.
The place is easy to miss. It is behind a small hill next to the road. There is a short trail from the road to the site, used by water trucks. Be carefull of landmines when walking or driving off road in Western Sahara!
