Descrizione

Woodberry Wetlands has 12 hectares of reed-fringed ponds, hedgerows, meadows and dykes in the middle of the densely built-up areas of Manor House, Stoke Newington and Woodberry Down. It is a big contrast between the surrounding tower blocks and the wild wetland habitat with old oak trees. Woodberry Wetlands supports lots of species throughout the year, from wintering populations of Moriglione, Mestolone and Canapiglia, to Cannaiola, Forapaglie comune and Migliarino di palude who have migrated from Africa for spring and summer. Also Tuffetto, Ballerina gialla, Cardellino, Usignolo di fiume and Capinera can be observed. More than 50 bird species breed in the area.
