As well as being an excellent seawatching site the area is renowned for it's Zigolo nero and migrant passerines. The National Trust car park (fee payable) at the point has on it's Western side a small reserve consisting of a field and trees/shrubs. This reserve managed by Devon Birds (devon birds.org) is a members only reserve, but good views are possible from the road and car park.

The main road A379 is to the North running between Kingsbridge and Dartmouth, leave this main road at Frogmore or Chillington by heading South signed East Prawle/Prawle Point. The point car park is South of East Prawle along VERY narrow roads.
