At Flag Lane North Bridle Path Pond you have a high chance of seeing a mating pair of Martin pescatore and their young fishing and feeding. The Martin pescatore nest in the Chester Zoo ground and use the canals to travel to this pond. Other birds you can see in the area are Rampichino alpestre, Alzavola, Folaga, Gallinella d'acqua and Germano reale.
