Acherbiela is a small nature reserve. The Upupa is being reintroduced in the area. Spring migration often offers surprises ( Calandro, Falco cuculo, Allodola and Tottavilla). In winter sometimes Gracchio corallino and Merlo dal collare. Aquila reale and Gipeto are also possible when the weather is bad. Beautiful circular route over dry steppe with nature-friendly agriculture. Among the birds you can see in the area are Upupa, Codirosso, Assiolo, Gracchio alpino, Gracchio corallino, Aquila reale, Picchio verde, Luì bianco, Tordela and Codibugnolo.

Public transport: Bus from Brig train station to Brig Biela. Then walk about 30 minutes in the direction of Termen. Circular walking route from the bus between 1.5 and 2.5 hours, depending on the route.
