Svartskatan is a shallow bay where many birds can be seen, especially in spring. From a bird tower you have splendid views over the area. Among the birds you can see are Alzavola, Quattrocchi, Fischione, Folaga, Oca selvatica, Cigno selvatico, Moretta, Chiurlo maggiore, Aquila di mare and Gufo di palude.
