Descrizione
The big uppside with Stavstensudde may not be the amount of waders but how close you get to the birds. From the shelter one can get a very good view.
During migration from mid april to early june, and late july to early october this is a nice site for watching a good variety of shorebirds. For example Voltapietre, Gambecchio comune, Piovanello tridattilo, Piovanello maggiore, Combattente, Gambecchio frullino, Gambecchio nano, Pittima minore and Pivieressa. Also several pairs of Fraticello are breeding.
Rarities that have been seen here are Fratino, Tibetan Sand Plover, Albastrello, Totano zampegialle minore and Piovanello pettorale.
In winter time islandic Pettegola and northern Corriere grosso and sometimes Piovanello violetto can be seen.
