Descrizione
Stadsjön has wetland areas, forest, meadows, reed beds and river habitats. This variety attracts many birds. Along the hiking trail you can walk or roll straight through wetlands, experience rainforest-like deciduous forest, and look out over the open wet meadows where cows graze. From the newly built lookout tower you look out over the beautiful landscape. If you are lucky, the Aquila di mare can come gliding over, or you can hear Forapaglie comune singing. During spring and autumn, the reserve is visited by large numbers of resting birds. Among the birds you can encounter are Mestolone, Moretta, Cincia bigia, Beccafico, Aquila reale, Falco di palude, Albanella reale, Corvo imperiale, Cutrettola, Zigolo giallo, Oca lombardella minore, Poiana calzata, Fischione, Alzavola, Quattrocchi, Smergo maggiore, Cuculo, Porciglione, Gru, Chiurlo maggiore, Piovanello pancianera, Beccaccia, Beccaccino, Croccolone, Pettegola, Piro piro boschereccio, Pantana, Strolaga mezzana, Sterna comune, Falco pescatore, Falco pecchiaiolo, Nibbio reale, Picchio rosso minore, Allocco, Torcicollo, Picchio nero, Lodolaio, Falco pellegrino, Averla maggiore, Forapaglie macchiettato, Merlo acquaiolo, Usignolo maggiore and Pettazzurro.
