The Lillfjärden lake is primarily known for its geese. Oca facciabianca, Oca selvatica, and Oca canadese all breed. The lake also holds the entire swedish non-breeding population of Oca lombardella minore. Other geese like Oca lombardella, Oca granaiola della taiga, Oca zamperosee can often be found. Some years Oca granaiola della tundra and Oca colombaccio are also found during migration periods.
The lakes rocky coast is also often home to waders like Totano moro, Pettegola, Corriere piccolo (breeds), Beccaccia di mare (breeds), and Combattente. The lake holds large amounts of Germano reale and smaller amounts of other dabbling ducks. Even species which are rare in northern areas like Canapiglia, Mestolone and Marzaiola. Smaller amounts of diving ducks can often be found. Wintering Beccofrusone and Ciuffolotto delle pinete are often found. Although the numbers vary widely.

The lake lies directly north to the center of Hudiksvall. There are many places to park the car. Click on the P in the map to get directions. You can make a circular walk around the lake (2,5 km).
