Descrizione
The Ledskär area has four bird towers, one of which is located at the edge of a very shallow bay which is super popular amongst waterfowl like Codone, Fischione and Oca lombardella as well as waders like Pettegola, Totano moro, Chiurlo maggiore and Corriere grosso. Ledskär is also a good place to see Sterna maggiore and Aquila di mare. This bird tower is far away from the waters edge so bring a spotting scope.
From the harbour one can have a closer look over the water, but it is difficult to see over the bay, a new birdtower is planned to be built here. West of the parking area there is a marsh and a forest full of birds.
During spring and autumn migration local rarities like Allodola golagialla, Piovanello violetto, Gambecchio frullino and Pesciaiola can regularly been seen around Ledskär.
A new birding tower was build at the pier during 2021.
