The best time time to visit is in the first few hours after sunrise when the birds are most active. Occhione is present in the fields and orchards in the area. Averla capirossa are easy to see perched atop bushes and wires. Pigliamosche tirrenico can be found in wooded glades along many of the roads and tracks in the area and during migration they are joined by Pigliamosche and Balia nera. Other migrants include Stiaccino and Codirosso. Scan the hills to the south for Aquila minore. A circular route of 3 km is shown which should cover most of the species, but the wider area is well worth exploration.
