The setting of this site is incredible; from the promenade of the Western-like village of El Rocio you overlook a lush lagoon (if the lagoon holds water, if not, this site is not interesting). You may see all interesting species of the park at this lagoon. On a regular day the lagoon is littered with Fenicottero and the vegetation in and around the lake hold Sgarza ciuffetto, Pollo sultano and Tarabusino. Lastly Pernice di mare is another attraction here. At dusk, red- and fallow deer graze on the opposite side of the water.

In summer, this area does not always hold water (when I visited in the summer of 2018 it did however). Maker sure to check this beforehand though.
