The bird hide at Casa Gerbe is surrounded by mountains, river, lake, forests, farm fields. Depending on the time of year and the water level of the reservoir, different types of birds can be observed. Among the birds that have been seen from the hide are Svasso maggiore, Airone cenerino, Airone bianco maggiore, Picchio rosso maggiore, Ghiandaia, Passera lagia, Pettirosso, Zigolo nero, Cardellino, Lucherino, Cinciallegra, Cincia mora, Cinciarella, Cincia dal ciuffo, Passera scopaiola, Frosone, Peppola, Merlo, Usignolo, Ballerina gialla, Sparviere, Poiana, Capovaccaio, Nibbio reale and Nibbio bruno. Casa Gerbe is located close to the village of Gerbe and can be reached by car, there is parking. There is also a circular walking route through the surrounding area of 4 km (described in a separate entry on Birdingplaces).
