Maehyang-ri tidal flat (매향리 갯벌) is a mudflat visited by thousands of shorebirds every year during migration seasons. Bird species you can observe here include Dunlin, Black-bellied Plover, Black-tailed Godwit, Ruddy Turnstone, Siberian Sand Plover, Eurasian Oystercatcher, Eastern Curlew, Terek Sandpiper and Great Knot. You might also have a chance to observe the globally endangered Spoon-billed Sandpiper.
