Korea National Arboretum(국립수목원) offers opportunity to observe several species of rare birds in Korea including the Eurasian Bullfinch, Pallas's Rosefinch, Long-tailed Rosefinch, Eurasian Treecreeper, and Solitary Snipe. Also, it is one of the few habitats of the Black Woodpecker in Korea. The habitat is rich of plants and insects, which makes it a great spot for birding. Also, you can experience hand feeding for the Varied Tit and the Marsh Tit, since they are used to humans.

The Korea National Arboretum is located in Gwangneung Forest, about 40–60 km northeast of central Seoul. It is the best to access by car, but the access by public transport is also possible. You can take the bus 21 from Jinjeop Station. However, it only runs a few times a day so it is better to check the schedule in advance.
Opening hours Tuesday to Saturday: 09:00 – 18:00. Entrance is free. Note that only pre‑reserved vehicles may enter the parking lot. Up to 300 cars per day are allowed. You must choose a morning (09:00–13:00) or afternoon (13:00–18:00) parking slot. Visitors without a car don't need a reservation.
