Spier Wine Estate is a renowned wine farm in Stellenbosch and one of the oldest wine farms in the country. You can make nice walks around the little lake, along the south bank of the Eerste River and other areas of the estate. Birds you can observe include African Fish-eagle, Sacred Ibis, African Hoopoe Lesser Swamp Warbler, Jackal Buzzard, Fork-tailed Drongo-Cuckoo, Malachite Kingfisher,Giant Kingfisher, Yellow Bishop, Karoo Prinia, Levaillant's Cisticola, Southern Double-collared Sunbird, Maccoa Duck and many more.
