The Mihaliesti reservoir is the largest lake in the metropolitan area of Bucharest. On the northwest side of the reservoir an interesting wetland has formed along the banks of the river Arges. Among the birds you can observe are Cigno reale, Volpoca, Germano reale, Tuffetto, Cavaliere d'Italia, Cicogna nera, Cicogna bianca and Poiana.
