Ciuffolotto delle Azzorre is the reason to visit this site! Look carefully on the unpaved road - often they just sit on the road. We had several good views along the entire climb to the mirador, but none during the descent to the east. The first ones were found already in the first 500 m of the unpaved road. Also check for orchids and butterflies (Hipparchia azorina).
