This reserve is breeding place for terns (Fraticello, Sterna comune), plovers and gulls, with some luck you can also observe mammals such as beavers or wild boars. During spring or autumn migration it is a good place for wading birds (i.e. Piovanello pancianera , Combattente , Gambecchio nano , Gambecchio comune , Beccaccino , Beccaccia di mare ), ducks or birds of prey (one of the best places to see Falco pescatore in Warsaw) . The adjacent riparian forest is a good place for woodpeckers, tits and trushes.
